본 연구의 목적은 경기도 화성시의 기업이동 현황을 살펴보고, 이와 경영환경 요인 간의 연관성을 파악하여 지역산업 및 기업지원정책을 위한 시사점을 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국평가데이터(KoDATA)의 데이터를 활용하여 2011~2020년의 화성시 기업 유출입을 분석하였고, 화성시 기업을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 그동안 화성시의 기업 순유입은 증가하였으며 그 대부분은 전통제조업종이었다. 서부권역은 유출입 규모가 작으나, 남부권역은 화성시 외부뿐만 아니라 내부에서의 유입도 가장 많다. 동부권역은 2010년대 중반 이후 외부에서의 순유입이 급격히 늘어났는데, 특히 서울에서의 유입 및 ICT 제조·서비스업종의 유입이 증가하였다. 한편, 화성시 기업들은 전문인력 채용 만족도가 대체로 낮았지만, 거래처 접근성 만족도는 높았다. 그리고 외부에서 서부권역으로 유입된 기업은 거래처 접근성 만족도가 약간 더 높은 경향이 있었다. 향후 기업지원정책에서 경제주체 간 네트워크 강화, 소규모 제조업체 지원 확대, 지역 전문인력의 양성·채용 촉진, 서부권역에서의 기업 리로케이션이 고려되어야 할 것이다.

This study examines the regional movement of firms in Hwaseong City and its relationship with business environmental factors, providing implications for local industry promotion. The authors analyzed firms’ entries and exits in Hwaseong from 2011 to 2020 using data from the Korea Rating & Data (KoDATA) and conducted a citywide survey. Firms’ net entry into Hwaseong increased, primarily in the traditional manufacturing sector. The western region had relatively few entries and exits of firms, while the southern region had the largest entries both within and outside the city. The eastern region has experienced a significant increase in firms’ net entries from outside the city since the mid-2010s, particularly in the Seoul and ICT sectors. Firms in Hwaseong generally expressed low satisfaction with recruiting specialized professionals but reported high satisfaction with business partner accessibility. Additionally, firms moving to the western region from outside the city tend to have slightly higher satisfaction with business partner accessibility. For a business support policy, it is necessary to consider enhancing networks among economic entities, expanding support for small manufacturing businesses, fostering local specialized professionals, promoting their recruitment, and encouraging firms’ relocation to the western region.
